Meet Andi and Richard ...
I never ever thought I would join an internet dating service. In fact when I did join I told all my friends it was a Christian dating and fellowship site to make it sound more like I was doing it just to meet people! My dad was actually the one who introduced me to the site. He had heard an add for it and e-mailed me the link. As soon as I looked at the site I decided to join right away. I filled out my profile and waited. The first guy to pop up on my connections was Richard from Rockford, IL. He was also the first guy to send me a message. Withing one day I had three matches and altogether I got about five matches, some of which sent me messages. But none of them interested me like that first guy Richard. We quickly began sending messages back and forth and discovered that we are both big fans of rock climbing. Rich informed me that he was going up to Devil's Lake, WI to climb that weekend and asked if I would like to join him. So just a few days after joining Cache I was going climbing with Rich. We seemed to hit things off right away! And even though we had never met, only talked through messaging a few times, and were alone on a mountain, things were never awkward! It felt like I had know Rich forever, even though I didn't know much about him. What was so great is that we had our faith in common, being able to talk about God and our beliefs was a good ice breaker!
After that first meeting we quickly made plans for the next weekend which was the Fourth of July. This was the weekend that I met Rich's family and friends. The following weekend Rich came up to where I live and met my family and friends and came to my church. This was the weekend that our relationship took the turn from friendship to dating!
Now almost a month later things are going great! Rich is so wonderful! He is funny, caring, and passionate. He lives his life for God every day and really strives to grow closer to him every day! We have so much in common and we enjoy each others' differences. We have similar goals and encourage each other to achieve them! Though we don't live very close to each other and can only get together on the weekends, we talk every day and share with each other the wonderful things God is doing and the hard things that we need encouragement and prayer for!
I have prayed for years that God would help me to find someone who was passionate about Christ, who was fun-loving, active, mature, and caring. Someone who has similar beliefs that I do. Someone who finds friends and family very important,someone who can enjoy me for who I am.
Now I thank God for using the great matching of Cache Connections to help me do that! And I pray every day that God lead this relationship wherever he wants it to go!
